Actor Matthew McConaughey is one of the most popular Texans on the planet.
He has foregone the Hollywood life to live in his native Texas.
McConaughey has also expressed interest in running for office, although he did finally sit out this most recent governor’s election.
If he plans on running for office in the future, I would advise him to bone up on his information regarding guns, gun control, and violent crime if he wants to win the conservative vote.

The talking points for Democrats are always the same after a mass shooting, and they are generally wrong.
After the mass shooting, McConaughey walked a fine line, stating, “Once again we have tragically proven that we are failing to be responsible for the rights our freedoms grant us.”
He continued, “What is it that we truly value? How do we repair the problem? What small sacrifices can we individually take today, to preserve a healthier and safer nation, state and neighborhood tomorrow?”

McConaughey has discussed passing more comprehensive background checks and the Democrat narrative of “common-sense gun laws.”
This is not about gun laws, but it is about not protecting the children properly in this country.
Where does he think mass shootings occur? The answer… the majority of the time, in gun-free zones.
That was the liberal answer, when, in reality, we need to start thinking about putting armed security in schools at every entrance and better security measures.
This country has sent billions of dollars to Ukraine for guns and defense of borders, yet we do not maintain our borders and leave our children there like sitting ducks.
If you want to control this “epidemic,” as he calls it, it is not about gun laws; it is about seeing the problem before it is too late and believe me, there were more than a few warning signs this was going to happen.
Once again, everyone is making this about the tool instead of the shooter.
If it wasn’t a gun, it would have been a knife, a vehicle, or a bomb, as has been proven in the past.
When it comes to events such as this, everyone seems to have an opinion.
Sadly, in most cases, it is an uneducated one.
