There are several Republicans in office right now that are more or less on an island all their own.
Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-N.C.) was one of them, and now he is gone.
Cawthorn believed he was targeted with a drip campaign by his party, and I think he was right.
I don’t sympathize with him because I think he is a putz and an embarrassment, but I believe he is right.
Reports are now surfacing that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) could be masterminding the entire thing.
Cocaine Mitch is Back
McConnell does not like Trump, and he wants to hurt his influence in the party.
What better way to do that than to target the most extreme members of the party affiliated with Trump.
This is a coordinated attack with Joe Biden, hence the Ultra-MAGA tag Biden has been using.
McConnell admitted that he told Biden he would “push back … against the isolationist sentiment in my own party.”
Senators Hawley (R-MO) and Paul (R-KY) both pushed back against the aid package to Ukraine due to our current financial situation.

Paul, in an op-ed, wrote, “So, yes, our national security is threatened, not by Russia’s war on Ukraine, but by Congress’ war on the American taxpayer.”
McConnell called all of the Republican Senators that voted against the bill.
Expect to see more people like MTG and Boebert to be targeted in their primary races.
If you read BND regularly, you know I despise McConnell, and this is why.
He is establishment, and he is buddies with Joe Biden, and that comes before the American people.
McConnell is now trying to make people like Paul and Hawley, who are looking out for OUR interests as some type of enemy, when McConnell is the real danger.
Let me say this again in case you missed it the first time… McConnell is openly working with Joe Biden to oust members of the Republican Party.
McConnell is now enemy number one in my book.
