Oh, how the tables have turned.
Late Friday, reports started to surface that numerous staff members from progressive late-night host Stephen Colbert’s TV show had entered the Capitol illegally.
A group of GOP House members is adding more fuel to the fire, accusing Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) of giving unlawful access to Colbert’s crew.
Uh Oh
One cannot appreciate this irony until you realize this is the exact “crime” that Democrats have accused numerous Republican House members of having done prior to the January 6 riot.
Colbert’s crew had been around the Capitol all day covering events related to the January 6 hearings.
The crew apparently wanted to check out GOP offices, which they apparently did not have the authorization to do.
And, if the GOP House members are right, Schiff was the one that gave them the access.
Now, they are out for blood…

Unsurprisingly, Rep. Boebert (R-CO) was among the first to go after Colbert…
Why was @StephenAtHome’s staff breaking federal law and at my office last night?
Was this an illegal reconnaissance tour or a full on insurrection?
Did they go in? Did Stephen fund this? Is he being charged?
I’m demanding answers.

If Schiff is truly linked to this, it is about as priceless as it gets.
There is an investigation underway, so we will keep a close eye on it and see how it pans out.
