Michigan School Shooting Leaves at Least 3 Dead

Yet another tragic school shooting is being reported.

The shooting reportedly took place at Oxford High School in Oxford, MI.

According to the most recent reports, three people are dead and at least six others are injured.

Tragedy Strikes

The shooting reportedly occurred at 12:50 p.m. local time.

Of the three people that were killed, one of them has been identified as a teacher at the school.

The alleged shooter, a 15-year-old student, is in custody.

A representative from the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office stated, “There was no resistance during the arrest and the suspect has asked for a lawyer and has not made any statements as to a motive.”

Police immediately declared the area off-limits, stating, “Oakland County Sheriff’s Department are on the scene and we have activated our emergency protocols and placed the school into lockdown.

“We will send more information to you as we know it.

“Please do not go to the school.”

However, authorities did set up a reunification center for students, teachers, and family members at a grocery store located behind the school.

Oxford is located about 30 miles outside of Detroit.

This remains a developing story and we will update as more information becomes available.
