General Milley has, by all accounts, been a complete and utter disaster as the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Since he was elevated to this position, there seems to have been far more controversies than successes.
During a recent interview, Milley himself all but put a big “F” stamp on this recent withdrawal from Afghanistan.
Just Another Politician Now
The fact that anyone in this administration dares to call this withdrawal a success is infuriating.
It has now gotten to the point that even our generals are pushing Democrat talking points rather than being honest with the American people.
At the top of that list, it pains me to say, is General Milley.
I hate being critical of our military, but Milley has clearly forgotten his roots and is now clearly just another talking puppet of this administration.
All his accomplishments throughout his career are now on the backburner simply because of his political agenda over the last year or so.
However, Milley’s hubris did lead to the revelation of yet another failure of this withdrawal… the resurgence of al Qaeda.
Milley stated, “My military estimate is…that the conditions are likely to develop of a civil war.
“I don’t know if the Taliban is going to [be] able to consolidate power and establish governance.”
He continued, “I think there’s at least a very good probability of a broader civil war and that will then, in turn, lead to conditions that could, in fact, lead to a reconstitution of al-Qaeda or a growth of ISIS or other myriad of terrorist groups.”
On the outside, Milley sees a resurgence of terrorism in the area of three years, but my personal belief is that it will happen long before that window expires.
With the Taliban in complete control of an entire country and its assets, the Afghanistan will become an open playground for terrorist groups, all of whom want to strike the United States.
Just imagine how different it would have been had we held and kept Bagram… just saying.
You can see Milley’s full interview below, but pay special attention to how he pushes just about every talking point this administration has been trying to get everyone to buy into regarding the “success” of the withdrawal.
