Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) has been pushing her radical ideas since her first day in office.
She finally got the dismantling of the Minneapolis police on the ballot, and she undoubtedly thought she would win this fight.
However, the people of Minneapolis dealt her a crippling defeat, shooting down the ballot with a significant majority.
Sorry, Ilhan
The ballot measure was a simple “yes” or “no” question.
It asked them if “the Minneapolis City Charter be amended to remove the Police Department and replace it with a Department of Public Safety that employs a comprehensive public health approach to the delivery of functions by the Department of Public Safety.”
With 92 percent of the vote in, the count was 56.92 to 43.08 to keep the police department.
Residents are finally waking up to the dangers of not having adequate policing of the community.
In Minneapolis, violent crime has been up 17 percent over the last year.
With funding of police reallocated in many cities, we have seen fewer police on the street and a correlating rise in crime, which is surely no coincidence.
Now that this measure has been struck down, it is time for the people of Minnesota to wake up and vote Omar out of office in 2022.
She is a radical, period, and she is a dangerous woman that hates this country, yet she sits in Congress.
I can think of nothing more disgraceful than that.
