A horrible tragedy has surfaced in Indiana.
An 11-month-old that had been reported missing was found in a wooded area.
The parents and babysitter were reportedly arrested by local police.
Shock Discovery
When the young girl was first reported missing, everyone were hoping for good news against all odds.
Sadly, it was quite the opposite.
Justin Miller, a family friend, had taken the child, Mercedes, to give her parents a break.
Miller claims he woke up “on or about August 14” and saw the child dead.
Rather than call authorities, he decided it would be better to drop the child’s body in a nearby wooded area.
Miller initially told the parents he had dropped the child off with a friend, but after the child was reported missing, Miller eventually led authorities to the body and told them his story.
Miller has been charged with neglect of a dependent resulting in death.
Additionally, the child’s parents, Kenny Lain, 41, and Tiffany Coburn, 32, were charged with the neglect of a dependent.
