Missing Texas Mom Found Dead in Mall Parking Lot

The mystery of missing Christina Lee Powell, 39, has been solved.

Unfortunately, it does not have a happy ending.

Powell was found dead in the passenger seat of her car early Saturday night.

What Happened

Exactly what happened to the San Antonio native is unknown at this point.

She left for work one morning and was never seen again until they found her body in the parking lot of a local mall.

After having been missing since July 5, family members were shocked to learn her body had been sitting in the car only miles away from the house.

Powell left her home in a hurry that day, leaving her phone, medication, and possibly her watch behind, so nobody had any way to contact her once she left home and never showed up at work.

Authorities stated she was found in the car’s passenger side, which is a bit odd, but there were no signs of trauma.

A security guard initially found the body at the Huebner Oka Center parking lot in San Antonio.

The car was reportedly there for days when he noticed a “foul odor.”

The car had been sitting in the hot Texas sun for days.

When officers examined the car, her purse and ID were still inside, and an investigation and autopsy are pending to determine the cause of death.
