We were all hoping this day would come, and Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) has just assured us that it will happen.
With early projections showing a huge GOP shift in the mid-term elections, the table is now set to rock the White House.
On Monday, Senator Cruz stated that Republicans will have “multiple grounds” on which to impeach Joe Biden once the GOP can finally take back congressional control from the Democrats.
Impeach Joe
Democrats used this rallying cry very successfully in 2018 and now the GOP looks to do the same.
Joe Biden had a laundry list of things we could have taken him down for before the election.
That list has probably doubled in size since he took office.
After seeing what Democrats did to Trump, Cruz is looking forward to flipping the script.
However, he did warn about the dangers of continuing this revenge cycle.
He stated, “One of the real disadvantages of doing that is the more you weaponized it and turn it into a partisan cudgel, you know what’s good for the goose is good for the gander.”
Cruz would go on to say clarify that once Republicans take back Congress, there will more than likely be a growing movement to impeach Biden.
In fact, Rep. Bob Gibbs (R-OH) has already gone down this road, tweeting, “I filed articles of impeachment against @POTUS based on what I believe to be clear violations of his duties.
“There are dynamics in Congress preventing this from being debated.
“But I could not stand by while Biden commits flagrant & deliberate violations of his oath of office.”
The problem for Biden here is that depending on the articles that are introduced, there could be enough support in the Senate to actually carry out the impeachment.
The Afghanistan withdrawal cut deep, even for Democrat veterans, many of whom were appalled that Biden left families of Americans behind, as well as tens of thousands of allies.
At the same time, Biden has already announced that more than 50,000 Afghan refugees have been resettled, most of whom have no affiliation with this country at all.
However, the real poisonous fruit will be Hunter Biden and that laptop.
If that is ever honestly investigated, I firmly believe that Joe Biden will have a significant problem on his hands and face legitimate corruption charges.
