Donald Trump was hoping to stay out of Letitia James’ courtroom.
That, however, is not going to happen.
Trump was dealt a crushing blow by New York state Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron.

Trump has claimed that this entire investigation is a witch hunt.
To this point, we have seen nothing of substance that has come from it.
That all changed this week when Trump’s former accounting firm dropped him as a client.
Even though the company stated they had no information to dispute the previous financial statements, they said they could no longer support them.
That was all James needed to grab a headline, as well as an apparent ruling in her favor.
Judge Engoron, in his ruling, stated, “In the final analysis, a state attorney general commences investigating a business entity, uncovers copious evidence of possible financial fraud, and wants to question, under oath, several of the entities’ principals, including its namesake.
“She has the clear right to do so.”
Trump also has two weeks to respond to a request for documentation.
Now, Donald Trump, Ivanka Trump, and Donald Trump Jr. will have to testify.
James took an immediate victory lap, stating, “Today, justice prevailed.
“No one will be permitted to stand in the way of the pursuit of justice, no matter how powerful they are. No one is above the law.”
The Trumps are expected to appeal the decision.
