As the entire world knows, Elon Musk plunked down more than $40 billion to snatch up Twitter.
As part of his deal, he is not supposed to criticize Twitter, which is more censorship in and of itself.
Musk does not appear to be willing to abide by the rules, as he dropped a bit of a bombshell on the powers that be at Twitter on Tuesday.
It Was Wrong
The story that should have been THE story of the 2020 election cycle was shut out during the election.
That, of course, was the Hunter Biden laptop story.
It was not significant for Hunter Biden’s exploits. Instead, we have now seen that it had enormous insight into just how intertwined Hunter’s business dealings were with Joe Biden.
When Musk took over the social media platform with his mega-offer, Breaking Points co-host Saagar Enjeti tweeted, “Vijaya Gadde, the top censorship advocate at Twitter who famously gaslit the world on Joe Rogan’s podcast and censored the Hunter Biden laptop story, is very upset about the @elonmusk takeover.”
Gadde, as it has been reported, was the man responsible for the decision to censor all things related to the Biden laptop during the election cycle.
He will be a bit more upset after the latest tweet by Musk.
On Tuesday, Musk tweeted, “Suspending the Twitter account of a major news organization for publishing a truthful story was obviously incredibly inappropriate.”
For all the crying the left does about election interference, this was the very definition of election interference, a point many conservatives quickly made.
For instance, America Matters Executive Director Jim Hanson tweeted, “Hiding the story about #HuntersLaptop was part of a consistent pattern of Promoting the Left[,]Throttling the Right. All we ask for is #FreeSpeech Let the best ideas win.”
Americans had a right to see that information and judge for themselves, not have some liberal locked away in his safe little office at Twitter HQ make it for them.
As I stated before, I would bet dollars to donuts that email communications and programming are being removed from computers as we speak before Musk can get his time in there to audit everything, assuming he does that once he gets the keys to the building.
We can only hope we one day get the truth about how far Twitter had gone to ensure that Biden won the 2020 election.
