Few on the right have been able to find a single success by this administration.
Having said that, the last week was even worse for this country.
One of the biggest blunders yet was the Australian nuclear sub deal that cut France out of the picture, a mistake that clearly could have and should have been avoided.
Embarrassing the United States
Halley actually applauded the deal with Australia, just not how it was done, and I agree entirely.
The problem was that France already had a deal in place, so they should have been included and/or consulted on the deal the United States put together.
The fact that France has now recalled its ambassadors shows just how upset the country was over this deal.
Halley, on that front, stated, ”I actually applaud the fact that the U.S. is doing this deal with the U.K. and Australia.
“I think it’s exactly what we need to be doing in terms of countering China, but they could have avoided a communications nightmare just by picking up the phone and calling our friends in France and saying, ‘Hey, we’re going to do this.”‘
She continued, ”The idea that they didn’t do it. It just goes to show that there’s no communication within the administration, there’s no communication out of the administration.
“It doesn’t seem like our agencies are talking (to each other) and I don’t know that we don’t look more embarrassing in the eyes of the world than we do right now under this Biden administration.”
That was pretty much the point France made as well.
France has had a deal in place to develop defense technology with Australia for years, so this was indeed a slap in the face.
If I understand the statements from the White House correctly, France was not apprised of the deal until just before the announcement was made, so we basically undercut an ally, then dropped the announcement on them beyond the 11th hour, thinking they would not get upset about it.
The mistakes this administration has made over the last month are typical, though.
Joe Biden has done nothing but lie and disappoint since he has taken office, and now he has set up the Democrat Party for a massive loss come 2022 and 2024.
