Earlier this week, news broke that actress Anne Heche was involved in a horrifying accident.
After initially crashing her car, she appeared to try to leave the scene.
Speeding away, she hit something again, but this time her car was engulfed in flames with Heche still inside.
Videos surfaced of Heche being removed from the car, completely covered in burns.
Now reports are surfacing that she is in a coma and not expected to survive.
Under the Influence
There was already speculation that Heche was under the influence due to the presence of an unknown bottle seen in her vehicle just before she crashed.
Reports have also surfaced that she may have been under the influence of cocaine.
Regardless, it now appears as though she will succumb to her wounds, with it only being a matter of time before she passes.
Her spokesperson stated that Heche had a “severe” brain injury and is “not expected to survive.”
It continued, “She’s being kept on life support to determine if any are viable.”
The “any” refers to organs, as Heche requested to be an organ donor.
The statement continued, “We want to thank everyone for their kind wishes and prayers for Anne’s recovery and thank the dedicated staff and wonderful nurses that cared for Anne at the Grossman Burn Center at West Hills hospital.”
Her representative concluded, “Anne had a huge heart and touched everyone she met with her generous spirit.
“More than her extraordinary talent, she saw spreading kindness and joy as her life’s work –especially moving the needle for acceptance of who you love.
“She will be remembered for her courageous honesty and dearly missed for her light.”
Heche is 53 years old, best known for her roles in “Donnie Brasco,” “Psycho,” and “Six Days, Seven Nights,” as well as her much-publicized romance with Ellen DeGeneres.
