Last year, we had record-setting illegal immigration numbers across the board.
Sadly, this year could dwarf those numbers.
Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz stated this week that we are already on pace to see one million migrant encounters during the first six months.
When you factor in the busy season is only getting started, Border Patrol better dig in for what is going to be another disastrous year at the border.
They Won’t Stop Coming
Joe Biden can paint the border picture any way he wants, but we all know why the influx of immigrants at the border is really happening,
They all know they have a better chance than not of being able to stay in the country, so why not roll the dice and see what happens.
They also know staffing and morale are hurting right now, which means this massive number of encounters more than likely means we can add 10 to 20 percent on top of that as getaways.
Ortiz stated, “Probably in the next two or three days we’ll get over a million encounters or apprehensions along the southwest border.”
He went on to say that every sector along the southern border is busier than it was last year when immigration numbers were shattered.
After February numbers were reported, we stood at 838,685 encounters.
Before the end of this month, that number will be more than one million, just as the six-month mark of the fiscal year ends.
Democrats not on the border want Title 42 ended, which would mean even more illegals remaining in the country, but border state Democrats are saying the complete opposite.
For instance, Arizona Democrat Senators Sinema and Kelly sent a letter to Biden last week.
The letter stated, “Given the impacts that changes to Title 42 could have on border communities, border security, and migrants, we urge your administration not to make any changes to Title 42 implementation until you are completely ready to execute and coordinate a comprehensive plan that ensures a secure, orderly, and humane process at the border.”
I will go out on a limb and say their plea will fall on deaf ears.
