O’Rourke Does Stealth Edit to Gun Control on Campaign Website

Remember when Beto O’Rourke changed his position on taking everyone’s AR-15s away?

Remember when I said you could not trust him as far as you could throw him on that?

Well, he just proved me right.

Stealth Edit

Beto has not publicly changed his position on the AR-15, at least not yet.

He has, however, very quietly edited his website on this issue.

Prior to the Uvalde mass shooting, O’Rourke’s site stated that it wanted to “reduce” the number of AR-15s.

It stated, “And while it might not be the easy or politically safe thing to say, I strongly believe that we need to reduce the number of AR-15’s and AK-47’s on our streets.”

The same gun safety section of the website now says, “And while it might not be the easy or politically safe thing to say, I don’t believe any civilian should own an AR-15 or AK-47.”

O’Rourke dramatically changed his gun position because he was lagging so far behind in gubernatorial polls.

After he changed his stance, he picked up some ground.

Regardless of his stance, he has proven yet again to be a lying hack that you simply cannot trust.
