Last week, the ever-failing Democrat Beto O’Rourke announced that he was running for Governor of Texas.
He failed as a Senate candidate, he failed as a presidential candidate, and now he is already failing a gubernatorial candidate.
Why? Because O’Rourke has doubled down on his gun confiscation stance, something that will not sit well with Texans on the other side of the aisle.
Take Your Guns
O’Rourke’s famous line during the presidential campaign was that he was going to take people’s AR-15s from them.
At the time, O’Rourke stated, “Hell yes, we’re going to take your AR-15, your AK-47.
“We’re not going to allow it to be used against our fellow Americans anymore.”
As one of the more popular weapons sold legally, that simply will not work in Texas.
Even so, O’Rourke, on Sunday, said he still holds the same stance.
He stated, “Look, we are a state that has a long, proud tradition of responsible gun ownership.
“And most of us here in Texas do not want to see our friends, our family members, our neighbors shot up with these weapons of war.
“So yes, I still hold this view.”
O’Rourke was supposed to be Biden’s gun control czar, but after Biden got his endorsement in Texas, he left Beto by the side of the road like a piece of garbage.
When all is said and done, even with the influx of liberals now in Texas, there is no way this man will win a gubernatorial election in Texas.
Abbott is not exactly at the height of popularity right now, but if the choice is Abbott or someone that is going to start a gun grab, I can tell you flat out, O’Rourke will get embarrassed in the election.
What do you guys think? Does O’Rourke have a remote chance of winning the Texas gubernatorial election?
