House Speaker Pelosi (D-CA) was pulling out all the stops to get the reconciliation bill passed for Biden.

She reportedly sounded like a mother scolding her children before getting ready to put the bill on the floor.

Reports have surfaced that she warned her fellow Democrats not to embarrass Joe by voting down the bill while he was on foreign soil.

I hate to break it to Pelosi, but regardless of what happens with this bill, I am sure Joe will do a fine job of embarrassing himself while he is away.

Pelosi also said she would put the infrastructure bill on the floor today and hold the vote open to get the bill through. When Rep. Schakowsky asked about Sens. Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema, she said take the president at his word he will get the larger bill through

The Progressive Caucus ended up blocking the bill anyway.

While they said they would pass it, they also stated they will not do so until the moderates in the Senate push through the reconciliation package.

They further stated that they did not trust the moderates in the party to pass the reconciliation bill unless it was passed before the bipartisan bill, so I am not sure how that will go over with the moderates and how it will impact these bills passing.

This has become the ultimate game of chicken with the two fringe factions in the party, but one of them will have to blink soon if they are going to hand Biden this win.

Once this spending package goes through and people really see what is in it, I still believe any momentum Biden gets will quickly be reversed.
