After the January 6 riot took place, it was revealed that some of those that participated in the rioting were service members.
This led to Secretary of Defense Austin ordering an investigation to root out extremism in the military.
With Trump clearly favored by many of our service members, Austin was determined that an extremist philosophy had infiltrated our military.
Fox News is now reporting that, for the most part, the investigation has come up empty.
According to the official Pentagon report, there were fewer than 100 cases of extremists in our military, far less of a problem than Austin was leading everyone to believe.
Matthew Griffin, a former Army Ranger, stated, “I noticed zero extremism during my time in the military.
“None. Didn’t witness it at all.”
A former command sergeant major told Fox News that finding so few cases “is a success story and shows that extremism is not a large problem.”
One retired Ranger stated, “All of the kind of ignorance that leads to extremist behavior, it’s squashed because you’re immersed in all these other cultures, you’re immersed with all these other types of people.”
In reality, soldiers root out their own problems.
There is simply no way any soldier would go into battle knowing the person next to them may not have their back.
Those individuals would be exposed by fellow squad members.
The news of the investigation did not go over well with many past and present service members.
It was as though their patriotism was being questioned.
Former Army Ranger Jeriko Denman stated, “Seeing all these people of all walks of life – different races, different creeds, different sexual orientations – all this doing great things together, and then to have our government come in and say ‘the military has an extremism problem,’ it’s a slap in the face.
“It’s an insult to all those people that are out there doing the right thing.”
Something else that Denman hinted at was that politics has clearly infiltrated our military.
Top flag officers are making decisions based on not rocking the boat rather than what is best for service members and to defend this country.
We have seen that with Austin and his new woke agenda that is permeating our military.
