Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has been very critical of the moves by the Biden administration.

This has been especially true regarding the Afghanistan withdrawal and the Russian aggression against Ukraine.

Even so, Pompeo says that he is actually rooting for Joe Biden to succeed.

To say that we knew this would happen compared to that we wanted this to happen are two different things.

That seems to be the approach being taken by Pompeo right now.

To that point, Pompeo stated that he is rooting for administration because we all have a “shared desire” to put the United States in a better position.

Pompeo stated, “I am rooting for the Biden administration to be successful — in spite of my critique and my enormous concerns about the policies that they’ve chosen.

“I want them to be successful.”

He has even extended an olive branch to the administration.

Pompeo stated, “Any time someone from the administration calls and asks, I’m happy to speak to them and give them my views and my thoughts — sometimes a little piece of history, something that I had worked on that they might not have known about — and I did the same thing.

“I called on my predecessors, regardless of their party, to inquire about the things that they had worked on and what had worked and what had not.”

He concluded, “Look, we have very different worldviews and disagreements run deep about how to execute policy.

“But the shared desire to make our country strong and great is something that I will work on with all.”

Something tells me that Blinken will not be picking up the phone anytime soon to talk to Pompeo.

As far as Biden is concerned, everything that Trump did was wrong and hurt our country on the foreign policy front.

Yet, it is Biden that has seen one allied country overrun by terrorists and a second that has put the entire world on the brink of war.
