According to General Milley, his conversations with China were entirely above board and done in conjunction with the Department of Defense.

Not so, say numerous former government officials.

The acting Secretary of Defense at the time, Christopher Miller, has already confirmed he knew nothing about the calls.

Now we are finding out that other key players, such as then-Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and then-National Security Adviser Robert O’Brien, were unaware of the calls.

We Need Accountability

General Milley has not even tried to back away regarding his calls to Gen. Li Zuocheng of the People’s Liberation Army.

As far as Milley was concerned, he was looking out for the good of the country with a president in office that he thought was mentally unstable.

And, as I have stated before, it is not so much the call as the content of the call that is the problem here.

Contrary to what Milley has stated publicly, we are finding out that he appears to have been the only one in the loop on these calls.

The calls reportedly took place just prior to the November election and on January 8, 2021.

Pompeo, Miller, and O’Brien had no idea this was happening.

After the calls were initially reported and Milley claimed the Defense Department was in the loop, Miller stated, “The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff is the highest-ranking military officer whose sole role is providing military-specific advice to the president, and by law is prohibited from exercising executive authority to command forces.

“The chain of command runs from the President to the Secretary of Defense, not through the Chairman.”

Miller added, “As secretary of defense, I did not and would not ever authorize such conduct.”

Kayleigh McEnany, who served as Trump’s Press Secretary at the time, also chimed in…

As I stated before, I believe Milley has violated at least two articles of the UCMJ, possibly more, yet Biden and our current Secretary of Defense say that Milley has their complete confidence.

Add this story to the confirmation that the recent drone strike in Kabul did NOT take out any ISIS operative but instead an innocent family of 10, it is quite clear we need quick changes at the top of our military and within this administration.
