Last week, Fox News’ John Roberts interviewed Guatemalan President Alejandro Giammattei.
As the president of one of the countries responsible for pouring illegal immigrants into our country, it was rather stunning for him to say he has had only one conversation with Kamala Harris.
After national outrage, President Giammattei was given some face time with top White House officials to discuss the immigration problems as they relate to both countries.
Pick Up the Phone, Joe
While Giammattei did not talk to Biden or Harris, he did manage to speak to National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan.
The meeting comes after Giammattei was snubbed in Biden’s ridiculous democracy summit.
It also comes after Giammattei told Roberts that he had not spoken to Harris since June, and that was the only conversation he had with her.
As our alleged border czar, social media blew up demanding to how an immigration crisis could be solved if Harris is not even bothering to pick up the phone to talk to the key players.
While it was not Harris, the White House did reach out to Giammattei.
According to reports, NSA Jake Sullivan reached out to Giammattei “to review extensive bilateral cooperation on migration, counternarcotics, and promoting economic opportunity.”
A Biden official added, “We value our partnership with the government of Guatemala and engage President Giammattei across all areas of the bilateral relationship, including strengthening the rule of law and countering corruption.”
Harris has been a complete disaster no matter how you slice it in regard to the border.
She has denied anything to do with policy, but instead says she is responsible for the root causes.
All this administration has done on that front is send more money to corrupt countries, where it will more than likely wind up in the hands of corrupt officials and the cartel.
If you recall, Joe Biden had the very same assignment as VP under Obama, also sending millions of our tax dollars to these countries with nothing to show for it.
Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice…
