During the presidential campaign, Joe Biden released a video with an image of Kyle Rittenhouse.
The video highlighted white supremacy, trying to make a connection between Trump and white supremacists, putting Rittenhouse in that group.
Now that everything regarding that narrative has been debunked, Fox News’ Peter Doocy asked Press Secretary Jen Psaki if Biden would retract the statement, which Psaki refused to do.
Nope!
Doocy put Psaki on the spot, openly asking her if Biden would apologize for using Rittenhouse in that video.
Psaki replied, “This is about a campaign video released last year that used President Trump’s own words during a debate as he refused to condemn White supremacists and militia groups.
“And President Trump, as we know from history, and as many of you covered, didn’t just refuse to condemn militia groups on the debate stage, he encouraged them throughout his presidency.
“So, you know, what we’ve seen are the tragic consequences of that – when people think it’s OK to take the law into their own hands instead of allowing law enforcement to do its job.
“And the president believes in condemning hatred, division and violence. That’s exactly what was done in that video.”
So, virtually everything Psaki said is either a lie or misleading.
Trump actually started his response off by saying he condemned all those groups, and his “stand down, standby” comment was later clarified that Trump did not want any of these groups representing him or acting on his behalf in any way.
Trump regularly disavowed white supremacist groups, yet Psaki still pushes this overused and completely debunked narrative.
Rittenhouse was NOT part of any militia. And, over the last few days, we have learned his initial lawyer set up those pictures of Rittenhouse for some idiotic reason.
Lin Wood was fired as Rittenhouse’s attorney for that very reason, something Rittenhouse was very open about during his Tucker Carlson interview.
If Biden continues to hold this line, there is little doubt he will be facing down a lawsuit at some point.
