The go-to move for this administration is to blame Trump.
Psaki also likes to talk about how much of a place we are in right now simply because Joe is in office and Trump is not.
The problem, however, is that Psaki is pushing lies, repeatedly, and nobody will ever call her out on it live time.
It’s Not What He Said
Psaki, again, stated that Trump wanted to fight COVID by having “people inject bleach” into their bloodstream.
Now, Trump definitely asked some bizarre questions during COVID, but he never suggested that people inject bleach as a way to fight off the virus.
The topic at the time was how to clean surfaces and if there would ever be something similar that we could do to help fight off the virus.
After doctors gave their statement, Trump said,0 “Right. And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in a minute. One minute.
“And is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning? Because you see it gets in the lungs and it does a tremendous number on the lungs.
“So it would be interesting to check that. So, that, you’re going to have to use medical doctors with… But it sounds — it sounds interesting to me.”
Maybe not the best question or framing, but his point seemed pretty clear, unless you were someone trying to ensure a specific narrative was being pushed.
Later in the same press conference, a reporter asked Trump to clarify if he meant that disinfectants should be “injected into a person.”
Trump responded, “It wouldn’t be through injection. We’re talking about through almost a cleaning, sterilization of an area.”
Yet, nobody throws the exact quote or clarification given by Trump back at Psaki, and she gets to continue to push a narrative that has been completely debunked.
But, hey, if that is the way they want to play, then how about Psaki and her team stop telling us what Joe meant to say when he opens his mouth, and we hold him accountable to every word, as it was spoken.
I think we can all agree that Joe Biden would be the big loser in the tradeoff.
