There are many things that aren’t going the way Putin imagined they would go as he tried to stroll into Ukraine for what he thought would be a walk in the park.
But there’s at least one enemy Putin’s facing that he never could have anticipated:
His own men.
Rumors have it that Russian troops are doing anything they can to get out of fighting in the Ukraine.
Some have resorted to sabotaging their own military equipment, something Biden probably hadn’t been anticipating.
It seems as though some troops don’t want to fight because they don’t agree with the war effort. Others are out of food and fuel with nowhere to go.
To Putin it shouldn’t matter why, all he knows is that his troops don’t want to fight, and that’s a problem when you’re trying to take over another country.
Many captured Russian soldiers are claiming they didn’t even realize they were fighting in Ukraine.
As far as they were told, they were defending Russian soil.
Needless to say, that wasn’t the case.
