Mayor Kenney has been an absolutely disaster for the city of Philadelphia.
It kills me to see this, having grown up in that city.
However, politicians like Kinney are one of the reasons I left the state and eventually settled in Texas.
What a Disaster
I can still remember seeing Kenney do a jig in his office when he found out he was going to be a sanctuary city, as though harboring criminals is a good thing to do for your legal and law-abiding residents.
Like many Democrat cities in this country, Kenney also had an uber-progressive DA that has benefited from George Soros money.
This means letting more criminals out of jail without bail and allowing minor crimes to be unprosecuted.
What to steal someone’s watch right off their wrist? As long as it is not a Rolex, you are more than likely free to go.
That is how non-violent crimes become violent and how criminals become more emboldened.
That is exactly why 473 have been shot and killed so far in Philadelphia and another 1,800 have been shot.
That is more than 2,200 people that have suffered with Kenney at the helm… in one year!
He is not quite up to Chicago numbers, but he is getting there pretty quickly.
To that point, Philadelphia had more murders than the two largest cities in the country, New York City and Los Angeles, even though it pales in comparison in terms of population.
On the horrific report, Kenney stated, “It’s terrible to every morning get up and have to go look at the numbers and then look at the news and see the stories.
“It’s just crazy. It’s just crazy and this needs to stop.”
It is happening because of your policies, Mayor Kenney!
This will not stop until the people of Philadelphia stop automatically pulling the handle for Democrat candidates and insist their new mayor be tough on crime.
They also need to make sure they have a DA that would actually consider such a report as a crisis, something the current DA does not.
