Another federal law enforcement agency… another embarrassment.
Hunter Biden’s laptop from hell may have just implicated someone other than Hunter and Joe Biden.
Emails on the laptop show a possible coverup attempt by the Secret Service to hide Hunter Biden’s travel records.
It’s a Big Deal
For years, Republicans looking into Hunter Biden’s business dealings and possible ties to Joe Biden have been trying to get Hunter’s travel records from the Secret Service.
The question is whether Joe Biden, as vice president, allowed Hunter Biden to travel with him when Hunter was conducting private business.
You see, that is a big no-no.
In January of this year, Sens. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and Ron Johnson (R-WI) requested records from the Secret Service.
Secret Service Director James M. Murray replied, “The Secret Service worked extensively with your committees, and agreed to search parameters provided by your office as to identify communications regarding Mr. Biden’s travel.
“These search parameters did not yield communications for the years 2010, 2011, or 2013.”
That, however, is not true.
For instance, an email dated April 28, 2011, reads, “Hunter, when you have some free time, I would like to discuss the Monterrey trip with you.
“I have some specific information to provide you that we received from our Mexico City office.
“I know you are out of the office this evening, but if you could contact me at your convenience, I would appreciate it.”
The email was from Secret Service agent Yvonne DiCristoforo.
There were numerous other emails during those years in the laptop that were travel-related, none of which had been turned over by the Secret Service.
After the report surfaced, Senator Grassley stated, “For years, Sen. Johnson and I have been trying to get a clear picture of Hunter Biden’s communications with the Secret Service when he was under their protection.
“The Secret Service says they don’t have records for three years during Hunter Biden’s time as a protectee, but I have reason to believe they do.
“In fact, I suspect there was also communication between Secret Service employees and Hunter Biden even after his protection ended. The Secret Service needs to come clean, and I intend to get to the bottom of this discrepancy.”
Senator Johnson added, “The Secret Service’s inability, or perhaps unwillingness, to comply with my requests for records relating to Hunter Biden is unacceptable.
“We now know that Hunter Biden’s laptop contained records that the Secret Service claimed they did not possess and therefore failed to produce to me and Senator Grassley.
“I can think of only two explanations for their lack of compliance, either the Secret Service is incompetent or it is corrupt.”
The content on the laptop had been widely dismissed as Russian disinformation for no other reason than Joe Biden and his hacks claiming that to be the case.
On March 17, 2022, however, the New York Times validated the laptop’s contents as authentic.
The Secret Service has not answered requests for comments and thus far, the Biden administration is refusing to comment, calling Hunter Biden a private citizen.
