REPORT: Russian Troops Running Short on Key Supplies

Ukraine has put up a much stronger resistance than anyone could have imagined at this point.

A war that most people thought would last one or days at most has had six full days of fighting.

Russia has suffered heavy losses of both equipment and men, and now the effort to capture Kyiv has reportedly stalled.

The reason… forces simply no longer have enough essential supplies to advance at a rapid rate.

Slow Them Down

Russia has now reportedly committed 80 percent of its combat troops to this battle, but it has stalled outside Kyiv.

That advance has hardly been at the speed that Putin has hoped or that anyone had really expected.

One part of the reason is the resistance that Ukraine has given to Russia.

The fact that Russia was never able to gain air superiority is a big reason, but so are the massive casualties that Russia is seeing on the ground.

The losses and the prolonged battles have significantly strained the Russian supply lines.

One official cited this as a possible reason for the slow progress to Kyiv.

The slow progress is now creating a morale problem among Russian troops as they all come to the realization they are not quite the war machine they thought they were.

In fact, it is quite embarrassing for an alleged superpower to face such struggles against a small country like Ukraine.

Ukraine has a population about one-third the size of Russia, so this would be like the United States invading Mexico and losing the battle… it is embarrassing on many fronts.

These losses have made Putin desperate, to the point that Putin issued a nuclear readiness alert.

Most do not believe Putin would be stupid enough to unleash a nuclear weapon on Ukraine, but you just never know.
