Pennsylvania Democrat Senate hopeful John Fetterman let the American public in on a little secret recently:
John “almost died” from a stroke last month.
No matter which side of the aisle you’re on, this isn’t the type of thing you like to see in an election.
Fetterman took responsibility for the incident, blaming himself for not taking care of himself well enough.
He then dropped another bomb on his fans, revealing that he owns a previously undisclosed heart condition called atrial fibrillation.
John knew he was suffer from the condition, but still didn’t do enough to take care of his body and his health.
As a result, he suffered a stroke that almost killed him.
Now, he’s pleading with Americans to not make the same mistake he did:
“I should have taken my health more seriously,” Fetterman began.
He then revealed that he didn’t take his doctor’s diagnosis of atrial fibrillation seriously, and it almost cost him the ultimate price.
“I didn’t do what the doctor told me. I didn’t follow up. I won’t make that mistake again.”
JUST IN: In a statement, @JohnFetterman admits "I almost died" because he didn't take care of his health well enough. Didn't see a doctor for 5 years. Releases doc note that says if he stays healthy "he should be able to campaign and serve in the U.S. Senate without a problem." pic.twitter.com/J2NgCvOfCl
