Joe Biden and some of the Democrat Party leadership have been trying to step away from the defund the police narrative.
If you ask Biden if the Democrat Party backs defunding the police, he will loudly and angrily tell you, “No.”
Well, to counter that narrative, the Republican National Committee (RNC) has compiled a video that runs for about seven minutes that will just utterly destroy Democrats on this issue.
They Are Still Saying It
Democrats are great at saying one thing and doing another.
In this case, Biden likes to pretend his party is not behind this movement to defund the police, but that is exactly what is happening right now and has been for years.
Even though some Democrat leaders say they don’t back this movement, they have, including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).
Here are just a few quotes among the most high-profile Democrats pushing this narrative:
Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO) – “Suck it up. Defunding the police has to happen. We need to defund the police.”
Beto O’Rourke – “You don’t have one bad apple. You don’t have four bad apples. You have a system-wide problem in that police department.
“And only by completely dismantling that system and rebuilding it intentionally with the community members at the table do you have any hope of getting it right.”
Pelosi has talked about “shuffling” money from police budgets to other social programs.
Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) has talked about completely “dismantling” the Minneapolis Police Department.
