The Russo-Ukraine War just took on a whole new meaning, at least according to Senator Ben Sasse, a Republican from Nebraska.
According to Sasse, the end plan here isn’t for Russia to win.
It’s for China to win.
Anyone familiar with American football might already know what a “scout team offense” is.
That’s when a coach will use his backup and reserve players to simulate as closely as possible the next opponent’s playstyle.
The group is usually made up of third or fourth string players that aren’t important to the team’s gameday plans, but provide valuable insight as to how the actual game might go.
That’s why when Sasse says that China is using the Russian Army as a “scout team offense” to see how an invasion of Taiwan would go, we need to understand just how dangerous this really is.
Sasse even went so far as to say that the Russian army wasn’t deployed just by Putin, the operation must have been “green-lit” by Chinese dictator Xi Jinping.
