While NBA players have no problem speaking out about social justice issues and telling us how we should act and feel, now they want privacy in their lives concerning the vaccine.
While the league has buckled to their demand on the vaccine policy, some states have not, putting their ability to play games in certain arenas in jeopardy.
Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) has found some odd allies in backing their personal choice on this matter.
It’s a Personal Choice
I want to be clear here… I believe it is up to every individual to make their own decision regarding the vaccine.
I would especially say that is true when someone has already had COVID, as I faced down the same questions these players that have had COVID are facing now.
There is not enough information available regarding the vaccine’s impact for someone who has recovered from COVID with active antibodies to feel completely comfortable taking a Gen1 vaccine.
There is nothing wrong with wanting more answers and data before taking this jab.
The hypocrisy, so to speak, in all of this is that suddenly, after ripping conservatives, NBA players now need those very same conservatives to back their play, and they are starting to get it.
Of all people to step up, it is Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX), arguably one of the most villainized Republicans by liberals in office today.
With several NBA players coming out saying they believe it is a personal choice and risking not playing over this stance, Ted Cruz immediately backed their play…
I stand with Kyrie Irving.
I stand with Andrew Wiggins.
I stand with Bradley Beal.
I stand with Jonathan Isaac.#NBA#YourBodyYourChoice https://t.co/kn74nwjVRV

3/x @KingJames is being courageous here.
With his box-office power, he could be even more courageous—he could SOLVE the problem—by saying:
“I stand w/ my fellow players. And I won’t play in any arena that bans another NBA player because they make a personal healthcare choice.”

Orlando Magic forward Jonathon Isaac gave one of the best responses I have heard in terms of why he does not want to get it.
He stated, “I am not anti-vax. I’m not anti-medicine. I’m not anti-science. I didn’t come to my current vaccination status by studying Black history or watching Donald Trump press conferences.
“I have nothing but the utmost respect for every healthcare worker and person in Orlando and all across the world that have worked tirelessly to keep us safe. My mom has worked in healthcare for a really long time.
“I thank God, I’m grateful that I live in a society where vaccines are possible and we can protect ourselves and have the means to protect ourselves in the first place.
“But with that being said, it is my belief that the vaccine status of every person should be their own choice and completely up to them without bullying, without being pressured or without being forced into doing so.
“I’m not ashamed to say that I’m uncomfortable with taking the vaccine at this time. I think that we’re all different. We all come from different places. We’ve all had different experiences and hold dear to different beliefs.
“And what it is that you do with your body when it comes to putting medicine in there should be your choice, free of the ridicule and the opinion of others.”
Let’s keep in mind that Democrats and the Biden administration have put a target on the head of those who have not yet been vaccinated.
This passive-aggressive approach by this administration has encouraged Americans to attack each other on this.
Now, one of the sports that has supported the Democrat agenda throughout is pushing back, so let’s see how that works out for Joe Biden and company.
