Texas Sheriff Killed in Hit-and-Run Accident

A 45-year-old Harris County Sheriff’s Officer was killed this weekend.

Sgt. Ramon Gutierrez was serving as a motorcycle escort for a heavy load at the time of the accident.

After the officer was hit, the driver of the car left the scene.

Tragedy Strikes

Gutierrez was off the bike, using it to block an exit ramp along a service road around 8900 East Sam Houston Parkway North near Tidwell Road.

The driver, a 40-year-old woman, drove around the bike, then hit the officer.

The woman then fled the scene but was later tracked down and arrested.

Police reports indicated that she may have been under the influence at the time.

Gutierrez had been on the force for 20 years.

Sadly, he was far from the only officer killed this weekend… again.

A rookie officer in New York City was shot and killed this past weekend.

Additionally, a DC officer was shot and remains in the hospital.

Fourth District Watch Commander Lieutenant Sayvon Weinfeld stated, “He was conscious and breathing when we brought him to the hospital.”

Officers are going down at an alarming rate to start the new year, and we have heard little to nothing from this administration in terms of sympathy.

Quite the opposite, actually, as Joe Biden is expected to introduce a new Executive Order soon that will handcuff officers even more so than they already are.

Sadly, had any of these situations been reversed with the officer doing the shooting, it would be front-page news and Democrats would be on their soapboxes demanding action.

Instead, since it is police blood on the streets, they could care less.
