CNN Slams Biden for Changing Definition of Recession

To its credit, CNN is doing its best to report actual news again.

With Trump out of the White House and Joe Biden failing, the network has had no choice but to start reporting on Biden honestly.

When Biden tried to minimize damage from the economic report coming out on Thursday, CNN called him out on it.

Can’t Do That

There has been an accepted definition of a recession since World War II.

Earlier this week, however, the White House challenged that definition.

Basically, the White House stated that if it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, it is actually a donkey.

“The Lead” on CNN pushed back.

Host Kasie Hunt stated, “The Biden administration is trying to point out the definition of a recession is nuanced.

“But I got to tell you, I struggle with this. I get why they want to do it from a political perspective, but you can’t fake this!”

CNN editor at large Chris Cillizza piled on, adding, “I was laughing to myself with the ‘in my view’ thing. Like in my view, I should be drafted to the NBA.

“It doesn’t really matter what you think.

“There is a technical definition, two straight quarters of negative economic growth.

“They clearly believe that is likely to come to pass later this week. They’re trying to prebut it.”

Here is the segment…

If Joe Biden loses CNN, he is done, period.

A week ago, Joe Biden told Americans that prices aren’t actually high.

But the numbers don’t lie.

Inflation is up 14.4% since Biden took office.

And all the president can offer are more lies.

Inflation ⬆️ more than expected.

Overall CPI: +6.4% y/y
Fuel Oil: +27.7%
Electricity: +11.9%
Groceries: +11.3%
Chicken +10.5%
Milk: +11%
Eggs: +70.1%
Bread: +14.9%
Potatoes: +12.4%
Baby Food: +10%
Airline Fares: +25.6%
Real Average Hourly Earnings: -1.8%

Year-over-year real wages have been negative for 22 months - ever since Biden forced through his $1.9 trillion "stimulus."

That's a wages recession for American workers.
