Was Iran finally able to carry out a hit that it put out author Salman Rushdie three decades ago?
Was this attack on Rushdie a result of Joe Biden’s loose border policies?
These are the questions people are asking today.
Rushdie was attacked while on stage in New York, stabbed, then rushed to the hospital.
It’s Not Good
The author of “The Satanic Verses” was targeted in 1989 after the book’s publication.
Khomeini’s 1989 fatwa put a bounty on anyone involved in publishing the book, which was considered blasphemous by Iran.
Hitoshi Igarashi, the novel’s Japanese translator, was stabbed and killed in 1991.
Rushdie was forced into hiding at the time, but he had popped his head up from time to time.
As Iranian officials removed themselves from the fatwa, Rushdie started to make more appearances.
Ironically, he was the one that often criticized the amount of security at his events.
Even with Iran separating itself, there is still a $3.3 million bounty on his head.

Police have finally identified the attacker but are still trying to figure out a motive.
Hadi Matar, 24, jumped on the stage and carried out the attack.
Rushdie was treated, then medevacked to a local hospital for further treatment.
New York State Police stated, “Rushdie suffered an apparent stab wound to the neck, and was transported by helicopter to an area hospital.
“His condition is not yet known.
“The interviewer suffered a minor head injury.
“A State Trooper assigned to the event immediately took the suspect into custody.
“The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.”
Rushdie’s agent, Andrew Wylie, later added, “The news is not good.
“Salman will likely lose one eye; the nerves in his arm were severed; and his liver was stabbed and damaged.”
I cannot help but wonder if this attack was able to be carried out because of how much less safe Democrats have made this country today.
Meanwhile, Joe Biden is vacationing at the $20 million vacation home of one of his buddies with his criminal son, away from the spotlight, with no access to the media.
And somehow, amid all this chaos, that is acceptable to the media.
