Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) went after Attorney General Merrick Garland this week in a manner like I have never seen.
In my opinion, Garland is corrupt and a puppet, so I have no problem with any level of disrespect he received on the stand.
That is quite evident by my stamp of approval on how Senator Ted Cruz just made him melt into his chair.
Could Have Been Worse
There were high hopes by all regarding Garland as the Attorney General.
Neither side of the aisle had any problems with his record as a jurist, which is why it was so disappointing to see him turn into Biden’s lackey once he took over the Justice Department.
One of Senator Cruz’s issues was the memo weaponizing the FBI against parents at school board meetings.
Cruz, on that point, stated, “There is a difference between law and politics, and General Garland, you know the difference between law and politics.
“Law is based on facts. It is impartial. It is not used as a tool of political retribution. This memo was not law. This memo was politics.”
Watch Cruz fire away at Garland on a simple “yes” or “no” question.
Garland tried to offer spin, but Cruz kept cutting him off and firing the question right back at him…
“The Five” also took a look at Garland’s disastrous performance on the stand…
To Geraldo Rivera’s point, I understand it, but I disagree. If Garland were doing his job as he is supposed to do, the behavior of Republicans might have been a concern.
This man needed to be embarrassed on a national stage for his actions, and Senators Kennedy, Hawley, Cruz, and Cotton all exposed him for what he is… a clueless puppet.
