Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) has found herself on the outside looking in as of late.
It was not so much that Cheney does not get along with Trump.
The problem is that she has completely flipped sides and now sides with Democrats more than Republicans.
Change Party
Donald Trump has already made it quite clear that he will back a primary candidate against Cheney.
While some Republicans have continued to support her, they are now the exception rather than the rule.
Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) was the latest to throw shade in Cheney’s direction…
Yes. It’s called the Democratic primary. https://t.co/q31fFvQZOp

Cheney did not take kindly to the jab by Cruz, hitting him right back…
I know you’re posturing for the secessionist vote, Ted. But my party, the Republican party, saved the Union. You swore an oath to the Constitution. Act like it. https://t.co/YyQ1XHRhCY

That will play well with her limited fan base, but she is going to have a big problem getting out of this primary.
Cruz has a lot of influence with evangelicals and constitutionalists.
Between that demographic and the MAGA demographic, it is tough to imagine Cheney coming out of the primary with the nod.
And don’t be fooled by her fundraising numbers, as she is getting a LOT of outside money.
I won’t make any predictions just yet, but I am definitely leaning toward a big upset in this race.
