Something very big is happening in Texas, and people are taking notice.
Hispanic support for Democrats is collapsing.
Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) believes this will be a true gamechanger in 2022 and beyond.
The recent win in Texas by Rep. Mayra Flores (R-TX) was monumental.
Cruz specifically pointed to that election, stating, “What happened in South Texas last week with Mayra Flores’ victory was a political earthquake of historic proportions.
“There is just no other way to describe it.
“I’ve spoken to many of my colleagues and the Democrats are privately panicking about their losses with Hispanics.
“From Mexican-Americans in Texas to Colombian Americans in Florida and Puerto Ricans in New York, Hispanics of all backgrounds are abandoning the Democrat Party in droves.
“Not only is there nothing the Democrats can do about it, it’s going to get a lot worse for them.”
Democrats have feasted on minority voters in years past, but that is no longer the case.
Trump made significant ground in this demographic in 2020.
Republicans as a whole have picked up even more ground since.
In a recent Quinnipiac poll, a mere 26 percent of Hispanic voters supported Biden, compared to a disapproval of 60 percent.
In recent mock election polls, Trump and Biden were neck-and-neck, at 43 and 44 percent respectively, which is about a 10-point dip for Biden and Democrats.
Without the minority vote, Democrats become powerless, and the GOP just kicked one of their legs out from under them.
