This is a report filled with both good and bad news.
The good news is that Border Patrol agents were able to apprehend 10 terror suspects before they got across the border.
The bad news is, there was surely a handful that got through and our now deep inside the country.
Take the Chance
I have a really bad feeling that this is a case of terror groups just throwing as many operatives at the border as they can afford to lose.
The sheer numbers that Border Patrol is dealing with right now means people will slip through the cracks.
In a normal year, meaning pre-Joe Biden, we would have somewhere between five to 10 percent gotaways.
The chance of getting through was significantly reduced, so for monthly numbers of about 20,000, maybe 2,000 gotaways occurred.
We would sometimes go months without hearing of a terrorist being caught because they were not trying like they are now because they knew they had little chance of success.
Based on the current fiscal numbers, almost two million migrant encounters have occurred, with more than 400,000 gotaways.
Do that math… that five to 10 percent is now up around 20 percent, significantly better odds and well worth the risk now, especially when you consider you can get them through in much larger numbers.
The southern border is now becoming a gateway for the nefarious.
Case in point, starting in 2017, the terror list captures at the border were two, six, three, and three again in 2020.
Joe Biden takes office, that number goes to 15 in 2021, and the running total so far this year is 66.
God only knows how many of these animals are in this country right now, plotting their attack.
To give you an idea of how much immigration is out of control, look at the numbers since Trump’s last year in office.
In 2020, there were 405,036, which was Trump’s final year.
In 2021, with three months of Trump’s time in office attributed to it, Biden managed to post a number of 1,666,167.
In 2022, Joe Biden’s first full year in office, we have 1,822,160 through the end of July, with the number already close to two million with the encounters we have seen so far this month.
That number will be flirting with 2.5 million encounters and 500,000 gotaways.
