The White House was worried that the United Nations event would be a super-spreader event.
While that has not yet proven true, the reports surfacing now will probably do just as much damage to the Biden administration.
State Department Spokesperson Ned Price, who attended the event, has tested positive for COVID.
Breakthrough Case
Anytime someone in this administration tests positive, it puts every protocol in place under scrutiny.
Democrats did this to themselves by blowing up every positive case that happened when Trump was in office.
White House officials have come under considerable scrutiny for violating their own mandates, so there is no question extra attention will be paid to the positive test by Price.
Price broke the news via Twitter…
After experiencing symptoms for the first time this morning, I tested positive for COVID-19 shortly thereafter, & will now quarantine for the next 10 days. I'm feeling under the weather but am grateful for the protection from severe illness offered by safe and effective vaccines.

In all honesty, it is rather amazing we even found out about the breakthrough case.
Unlike the Trump administration, where every positive test made headlines, the Biden administration has hidden its positive COVID tests.
The only case reported that I can recall was back in July, but even then, the White House refused to disclose the staffer’s identity that tested positive.
Breakthrough cases have been running rampant in the House, with more than four dozen reported cases so far.
However, most of the cases have not resulted in severe illness or hospitalizations.
Still, when you have the current occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue telling people that if you take the vaccine, you won’t get sick, someone in the administration testing positive is not great for an already devastating news cycle.
