This week, the entire nation was stunned when it was announced that three Americans had been found dead at a Sandals resort in the Bahamas.
Just as the tourist season can finally get rolling without restrictions, this devastating blow happens.
The three individuals reportedly all reported not feeling well, only later to be found dead.
Shock Discoveries
According to reports, Robbie Phillips, 65, and Michael Phillips, 68, both from Tennessee, and Vincent Chiarella, 64, from Florida, were all found dead in their villas.
Additionally, Vincent Chiarella’s wife, Donnis, was airlifted to a hospital in Florida and is currently undergoing treatment.
The two couples were staying in two separate villas at the luxury resort.
Royal Bahamas Police Force Commissioner Paul Rolle stated they have no idea what happened.
However, they have sent blood samples to a toxicology lab in Philadelphia, PA, for testing.
Rolle stated, “We really want to know what caused this.”
WFLA has reported that police are checking the unit’s air conditioner, propane supply, and water heater.
There has been speculation that a possible air conditioner leak is what caused their deaths.
When Rolle was asked about it, he stated, “I’m not going to speculate.”
Chiarella’s son stated that his father was dead on the floor and his mother was virtually paralyzed in her bed.
Austin Chiarella stated, “Her legs and arms was swollen and she couldn’t move and she screamed to get someone to come in the door.”
