Philadelphia is one of many Democrat-run cities that set a record for homicides in 2021.

Sadly, it already has a jump start on setting a new record for 2022.

The clock had barely struck 12 when the city recorded its first murder, one of three actually, before the sun came up.

Police responded to a shots fired call around 1:30 a.m.

When police arrived, a 33-year-old man had suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

He was taken to Temple University Hospital and later pronounced dead.

Only 30 minutes later, police responded to another call of shots fired.

When they arrived, two more victims were found with multiple gunshot wounds.

They were both taken to a local hospital and later pronounced dead.

There were several other shootings throughout the night, with at least seven more wounded in the city overnight.

Mayor Kenney has been an absolute disaster for the city, as has its uber-progressive DA.

Philadelphia is among the many cities looking for ways to legalize crime and allow criminals back on the street with low or no bail.

Last week, Kenney lamented that the violence was unacceptable and needed to stop, yet it is policies put in play during his administration that are the cause of those very problems.

Then, three hours into the new year, Philadelphia has already had three murders, setting a torrid pace for the upcoming year.
