On Wednesday, Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) fired off yet another attack against Trump.
The former president reacted just about as expected to her comments.
Trump called her a “threat to Free and Fair elections,” among other claims.
Trump Derangement Syndrome
Cheney has found herself obsessed with Trump since January 6.
To that point, while making an appearance in New Hampshire on Wednesday, Cheney called Trump a “domestic threat,” as well as stating that he wants to “unravel the foundations of our constitutional republic.”
Since Cheney joined Democrats on the January 6 Select Committee, her approval rating has plummeted, something of which Trump was more than happy to remind her.
He stated, “With an approval rating at 19% in Wyoming, people are wise to Liz Cheney. She is a threat to Free and Fair elections, which are the cornerstone of our Country, because she caved so easily on the Crime of the Century.”
Trump’s numbers were slightly off, as Cheney is currently polling at a 27 percent approval (7 percent very favorable, 20 percent somewhat favorable), but his point was taken.
She is significantly underwater, with a 41 percent unfavorable rating (16 percent somewhat unfavorable, 25 percent very unfavorable).
Trump added, “Cheney is far more unpopular than her father, who just lost his position as the least popular Vice President in American history to Kamala Harris.
“Democrats would never put up with a Liz Cheney in their ranks.
“If we had a Free and Fair media, instead of a corrupt media, those election results would never have been allowed to happen.
“The proof of irregularities and fraud is massive!”
While Cheney has plummeted in the polls, she has been raking in the cash due to outside interests and some Democrat money pouring in to try to keep her in office.
Trump has already backed a primary challenger to Cheney in the 2022 election, hoping to have her removed from her seat and out of the limelight.
This little back-and-forth is likely to continue even though the attacks are clearly hurting Cheney more than Trump.
She very much has a case of TDS, and refuses to give it up even if it means her own peril.
