Until recently, there were doubts that Herschel Walker would get out of the primary, let alone with the Georgia Senate seat for which he is vying.
Trump’s endorsement has helped Walker pull out in front of the primary field, but he was still neck-and-neck with Democrat Senator Raphael Warnock, who took the seat in a 2020 special election.
That is no longer the case.
Walker Double-Digit Lead
Walker has a decent amount of baggage that comes with him, but most of that is from quite some time ago.
To Walker’s credit, he has never hid from it… quite the opposite, actually.
He is always willing to engage and discuss the little monsters floating around in his closet.
It seems to be working, as the latest poll has Walker now leading Warnock 51.4 to 41 percent.
Keep in mind this poll was conducted by a PAC supporting Walker, and it does not list party affiliation mix of the 2,500 people surveyed.
However, in this particular poll, Joe Biden’s approval rating was 43.8 percent, which is among the higher approval ratings we have seen, so we have to believe this was a decent mix of voters.
A spokesperson for the 34N22 super PAC, Stephen Lawson, stated, “Our polling makes clear what the majority of Georgia voters are feeling: There is serious buyer’s remorse for Raphael Warnock.
“Warnock has voted in lock step with Biden’s disastrous agenda that’s led to skyrocketing inflation, record gas prices, a crisis at the southern border, and rampant crime in our cities.”
I have stated before that Democrats were able to win those two Georgia seats last year because the Republican Party managed to put up two of the worst candidates in the entire election field.
With some personality and name recognition, it looks like we are well on our way to taking them back.
