FBI Raid Boosts Trump in DeSantis Matchup

If Democrats were hoping to remove some of Donald Trump’s support with that FBI raid, they better go back to the drawing board.

In recent polls, DeSantis has been creeping up on Trump, even overtaking him in Florida.

Not now, however, as Trump picked up four points in the latest Politico/Morning Consult survey.

Big News

Honestly, I am a bit surprised by this.

I know the raid upset many people, but I also thought it might make them move away from Trump for fear he could get knocked out of the race at any moment with an indictment.

Instead, it drew more people to support Trump.

Trump went from 54 to 58 percent, while DeSantis went from 21 to 16.

One of the more interesting numbers that came back was 71 percent of voters wanting to see Trump run after the FBI raid, the highest number this poll has seen on this question.

I remember seeing that number down in the 50s after the last election, which is a massive swing for Trump.

As I stated before, Merrick Garland wanted to end Trump’s political career, but it only appears to have made him the favorite to take the White House in 2024.
