There is a big movement in DC to ensure 2020 never happens again.

I am speaking of Trump trying to put the onus on Pence for not certifying the election.

To that point, Dems just passed legislation that rewrites the Electoral Count Act, with support from limited Republicans, and Trump is going ballistic over it.

The Big Lie

The debate is just how much power the VP has during an election certification.

For the most part, the role has always been viewed as ceremonial.

This legislation ensures that is the case.

Trump, on the new legislation, stated, “So the Democrats, RINOS, and almost ALL others said that Mike Pence, or any V.P., had absolutely no right to do anything but send the ‘Votes’ to the Old Broken Crow, Mitch McConnell, even if they were fraudulent, corrupt, or highly irregular.

“The V.P. was merely a ‘human conveyer belt’ and could do nothing.

“BUT NOW, the DEMS & RINOS are working to pass a Bill that stops the V.P. from doing what he was not allowed, according to them, to do.

“It was all a ‘Big Lie.’ Should have sent back to States!”

That last sentence by Trump is important when you consider the narrative the media and Democrats are trying to pitch.

The report regarding the alleged fake electors aside (and if that turns out to be true, it is a whole new ballgame), the focus of Trump was to send the election back to states to ensure they were investigated before being certified.

Call me naïve if you want, but I don’t see anything wrong with that, especially in the aftermath of all the irregularities that surfaced since the election was finalized.

Again, I have never said there were enough irregularities to overturn the election, especially considering the number of states that Trump lost, but I sure would have loved an honest investigation while the votes were still warm.
