The January 6 hearings may not help Democrats get Donald Trump charged with a crime, but they are definitely starting to hurt Trump.
Yet another former Trump insider is coming out to say that there simply was not enough fraud in the election for Trump to even remotely think he won that election.
That being Pat Cipollone, former White House Counsel.
Widespread Fraud
The key to Cipollone’s testimony is the word “widespread.”
Most of us believe there was some fraud, as has been proven.
My contention has always been that widespread or not, we need to find it and eliminate it.
Was there enough fraud for Trump to have won the election? Well, we will never know because it will never be fully investigated in Democrat states.
But I can tell you that there was surely enough to tilt local elections, where we have seen elections decided by ten votes or less in some instances.
Trump really has nobody with a solid reputation that will say that the election should be overturned, a narrative he continues to push.
When Cipollone was questioned on the issue that “no evidence of election fraud sufficient to undermine the outcome of the election,” he responded, “Yes, I agree with that.”
Cipollone even stated that he told Trump he should concede the election, and Cipollone was about as loyal as it got to that point.
If Trump avoids any legal problems and gets the nod for 2024, this is a narrative that he has to let go if he wants to win.
We all know where his loyal supporters stand on this issue, but they are not the voters that he needs to win back.
And the people that he would need to win back in order to defeat Joe Biden or any other Democrat do not want to hear about it anymore.
We have now seen enough polling where Trump going up against Biden is a few-point lead at best.
When you consider how badly Joe Biden is doing right now, that should be a wake-up call that a Trump-Biden rematch is 50-50 at best, and I surely do not like those odds.
Mark my words, if Trump continues to push the outcome of the 2020 election, he will lose the general election in 2024.
I will gladly eat a plate of crow if I am wrong, but the numbers on this issue say this narrative is dead and it will destroy him in a general election.
