Every time Donald Trump gets some momentum, he does something to shoot himself in the foot.
Tuesday night, an interview with Just the News was set to air.
Trump made the mistake of mentioning Putin’s name in a way that will have everyone bringing up Russian collusion again.
What Was He Thinking?
Trump was discussing the report regarding a $3.5 million payment that Hunter Biden allegedly received from the wife of the mayor of Moscow.
He stated, “She gave him $3.5 million, so now I would think Putin would know the answer to that. I think he should release it.
“I think we should know that answer.
“How is it that the mayor of Moscow, his wife gave the Biden family $3.5 million?
“I think Putin now would be willing to probably give that answer.”
Here is the problem…
Trump said something almost identical to this during the 2016 campaign and he got crushed for it.
He really needs to get a buzz collar on so someone can shock the hell out of him when he is about to say something stupid.
That, of course, does not even take into account that even if Putin did have that information, who would believe it.
Not only that, but if Putin did produce it and Trump runs in 2024, the narrative would be more about Russian influencing the election rather than the problems with Hunter Biden.
Trump does not seem to comprehend that the perception of what he is saying is far more important than what he actually says.
So, let me help him…
Mr. Trump… all things Russia are off-limits for you, sir.
He just continues to give Democrats ammunition to use against him.
