Joe Biden was dealt a bit of a wake-up call on his quest for force vaccines in this country.
Two Democrats Senators voted with the GOP to pass the repeal of Biden’s vaccine mandate for businesses.
The legislation will now proceed to the House, where its fate will lie in the hands of House Speaker Pelosi (D-CA).
Major Blow
The legislation that has now been repealed in the Senate is also facing legal challenges.
The legislation currently faces a nationwide stay, having been defeated numerous times in federal court.
We expect those losses to continue to the Supreme Court.
In terms of what this repeal means, well, that will now lie with the House.
Moderate Democrats have already voiced concerns regarding the loss of their constituents’ jobs if they do not want to take the jab, which was the driving force as to why Senator Jon Tester (D-MT) joined Senator Manchin (D-W.V.) in voting with Republicans on this measure.
Pelosi will more than likely allow the legislation to cool on her desk because she knows she may have enough dissenters in her party that would allow this legislation to pass.
Now, the White House has already stated that it would veto the legislation if it comes across Biden’s desk, but Pelosi does not want to face another failure as the Speaker of the House.
Sen. Mike Braun (R-IN) stated, “It’s got Main Street America scared.
“They’re worried about, well, what does this mean on other issues?
“Anybody who thinks this is a good idea, imagine the next time it happens when you’re on the wrong side on whatever the merits of the case would be.”
Sen. Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.V.) added, “It’s daunting to families as they’re facing higher bills for their gas and their heating.
“They are very concerned about what this would do to their long-term ability to get a job, keep a job.
“I think they realize that this is an invasion into their own abilities to make decisions about themselves in their health care.”
Senator Schumer (D-N.Y.) was furious after he lost the vote, spreading more misinformation in the process.
“Some of the anti-vaxxers here in this chamber remind me of what happened 400 years ago when people were clinging to the fact that the sun revolved around the Earth.
“They just didn’t believe science. Or 500 years ago when they were sure the Earth was flat.”
Republicans are not anti-vaxxers, as he contends.
The fact is they believe Americans should be able to decide if they want this vaccine in their bloodstream or not.
They also believe people should not lose their jobs for a Gen1 vaccine.
It is a little thing called freedom, something I believe is mentioned in our Constitution a few times.
