The obvious weakness of Joe Biden continues to take a toll in the Middle East.
The latest example being the reported storming of the United States Embassy in Yemen.
Several hostages were reportedly taken by the Iranian-backed Houthi rebels.
Developing Story
Details are still coming in regarding the storming of the embassy.
We do know that the Houthi rebels stormed the embassy on Wednesday looking for “large quantities of equipment and materials.”
The Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) reported, “The alleged raid comes after the Houthis kidnapped three Yemeni nationals affiliated with the U.S. Embassy from one of the employee’s private residences in Sana’a on November 5.”
The report went on to say that at least 22 other individuals have been kidnapped by the rebels in recent weeks.
The report stated that “most of whom worked on the security staff guarding the embassy grounds.”
A State Department spokesperson confirmed the report.
The spokesperson stated, “The United States has been unceasing in its diplomatic efforts to secure their release.
“The majority of the detained have been released, but the Houthis continue to detain additional Yemeni employees of the embassy.”
The State Department further stated that the hostages were “detained without explanation and we call for their immediate release.”
The official added that the administration “will continue its diplomatic efforts to secure the release of our staff and the vacating of our compound, including through our international partners.”
Joe Biden is being challenged on every front, as these “stern warnings” are going to have little impact.
Only a few days ago, Senator Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) noted that Joe Biden’s foreign policies have made our interests far less safe… and it appears as though he is right.
