A rather disturbing report surfaced on the Washington Examiner late Friday afternoon.
Commentary writer Tom Rogan is claiming a top US General told a British counterpart to back off rescue attempts in Afghanistan.
With allied forces behind Taliban lines rescuing citizens and US troops planted at the airport, US military leaders believe they are being made to look bad, so stated Rogan.
Disturbing Request
Rogan is claiming that his sources have told him Maj. Gen. Christopher Donahue told a British officer of the 22nd Special Air Service Regiment he was making the United States look bad.
With several allies, including the British and French armies conducting patrols behind Taliban lines to rescue citizens, the United States is more or less the only major force sitting on the sidelines.
Thus far, troops have been forbidden to leave the airport and risk engaging the Taliban to rescue Americans still behind enemy lines.
Thankfully, the British officer reportedly brushed away the request of General Donahue.
This also comes amid reports that Joe Biden snubbed British PM Boris Johnson for 36 hours in the middle of the fall of Afghanistan.
It was already bad enough that we have all but abandoned the thousands of Americans behind enemy lines during this debacle, but if this report is true, it is an absolute bombshell.
To think that a United States General, assumingly with the approval of Joe Biden and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Milley, asked the British to stand down for bad optics, this General should be relieved of his command, as should Milley, and Biden should be impeached.
